2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth

There are the generations of the heavens and the earth … (e.)

This is the account of the heavens and the earth … (a.)

This is the account of the heavens and the earth … (i.)

2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

When no bush of the field … no small plant … sprung up … had not caused it to rain … (e.)

Now no shrub … no plant … had yet sprouted … had not sent rain … (a.)

… no shrub … sprung up … sent (i.)

2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

and a mist was going up … was watering the whole face of the ground (e.)

but a mist used to rise … and water the whole surface of the ground (a.)

but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground (i.)

2:7 formed man … and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. … a living soul.

a living creature (e.)

a living being (i.)

a living being (a.)

2.8 The Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.

planted h5193. נָטַע nâṭaʿ, naw-tah´; a prim. root; prop. to strike in, i.e. fix; spec. to plant (lit.) or fig.):—fastened, plant (-er).

placed 7760. שׂוּם sûwm, soom; or שִׂים sîym, seem; a prim. root; to put (used in a great variety of applications, lit., fig., infer. and ellip.):—× any wise, appoint, bring, call [a name], care, cast in, change, charge, commit, consider, convey, determine, + disguise, dispose, do, get, give, heap up, hold, impute, lay (down, up), leave, look, make (out), mark, + name, × on, ordain, order, + paint, place, preserve, purpose, put (on), + regard, rehearse, reward, (cause to) set (on, up), shew, + stedfastly, take, × tell, + tread down, ([over-]) turn, × wholly, work.

2:9 … grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food;the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.(e.)

Out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (a.)

The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (i.)

2:10

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (e.)

Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers. (a.)

A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. (i.)

heads 7218. רֹאשׁ rôʾsh, roshe; from an unused root appar. mean. to shake; the head (as most easily shaken), whether lit. or fig. (in many applications, of place, time, rank, etc.):—band, beginning, captain, chapiter, chief (-est place, man, things), company, end, × every [man], excellent, first, forefront, ([be-]) head, height, (on) high (-est part, [priest]), × lead, × poor, principal, ruler, sum, top.

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

bdellium and onyx stone are there. (e.)

the bdellium and the onyx stone are there. (a.)

aromatic resin  and onyx are also there (n.)

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

en the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it

The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

dress 5647. עָבַד ʿâbad, aw-bad´; a prim. root; to work (in any sense); by impl. to serve, till, (caus.) enslave, etc.:—× be, keep in bondage, be bondmen, bond-service, compel, do, dress, ear, execute, + husbandman, keep, labour (-ing man), bring to pass, (cause to, make to) serve (-ing, self), (be, become) servant (-s), do (use) service, till (-er), transgress [from margin], (set a) work, be wrought, worshipper.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, (e.)

The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; (a.)

And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; (i.)

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (e.)

but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” (a.)

but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” (a.)

该弟兄已经做好了peace/peace out的准备。

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

In the [b]beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (g.)

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (e.)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (e.)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (i.)

heaven vs heavens

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

运行

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (e.)

The earth was [fn]formless and void, and darkness was over the [fn]surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was [fn]moving over the [fn]surface of the waters. (a.)

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirt of God was hovering over the waters. (i.)

  • face vs surface
  • moved upon vs moving over.

Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

And God said, “Let there be an expanse[fn] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” (e.)

Then God said, “Let there be [fn]an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” (a.)

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” (i.)

Gen 1:26 and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Then God said, “Let us make man[fn] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (e.)

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the [fn]sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (a.)

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[fn] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (i.)

KJV和ESV这里都有have dominion over…over…over…over…over…。

  • fowl vs birds.
  • air vs heavens vs sky
  • cattle vs livestock vs all livestock and all the wild animals
  • every creeping thing that creepeth (creeps) upon the earth vs all the creatures that move along the ground.

28 Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it

Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it (e.)

Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; (a.)

Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. (i.)

multiply vs increase in number.

2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.. (e.)

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. (a.)

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. ( i.)

1 the heaven and the earth.

2 and the darkness was upon the face of the deep.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good:

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 waters…waters…waters

7 firmament …firmament…firmament

8 And God called the firmament Heaven.

9 Let the waters under the heaven

10 And God called the try land Earth; God saw that it was good.

11 the herb yielding seed, and the tree yielding fruit,

12 God saw that it was good.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night;

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth …

16 And God made two great lights; … to rule the day, … to rule the night …

17 …. To give light upon the earth.

18 rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness …

19 the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

21 … great whales

31 … It was very good.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

所得

4. and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

11. gazing up

8-11

8. receive power

8. uttermost part of the earth

and the the end of the earth (e.)

and the the ends of the earth (i.)

9. while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. (e.)

he was take up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. (i.)

10. they looked steadfastly toward heaven … in white apparel; … shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go in to heaven.

And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold … in white robes … This Jesus .. .in the same … (e.)

They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going …dressed in white … This same Jesus… in the same way.
